BURT HOLMES
FOUNDER/ RETIRED
I am the founder of Environmental Pest Control and Insulation. I have enjoyed watching the industry grow and evolve over the 50 years I’ve been a pest control operator. I grew up here in Bellingham and graduated from Bellingham High School then went on to serve in the United States Air Force. I married my wife Lois in 1964 and raised our two boys here in Whatcom County. I enjoy fishing, hunting and traveling with my family and dogs.

Owner
My wife, Leanne and I own Environmental Pest Control. I’m proud to say I was able to purchase the business from my dad, Burt to keep us a local family owned business. I graduated from Lynden High School along with my wife who was my high school sweetheart. We have been married since 1986 and have two daughters and three grandchildren. I enjoy fishing, hunting and spending time at our cabin in Eastern Washington with family and friends.
KATELYN zima
Office Manager
Hi there, my name is Katelyn and I am the office manager here at Environmental Pest Control. I officially started with the company in 2012 but I started riding along with grandpa Burt and “coloring” in the office with grandma at a very young age. A good portion of my time is spent on a field or court watching my son Rylan compete in multiple sports. I find my happiness in spending as much time as possible with my fiancé Blake, my son Rylan and all of my family.
Alyson Ellis
Office Assistant
I’m Alyson and I’m the Office Assistant here at Environmental Pest Control. I joined the team in February of 2022. Everyday I’m learning something new and I’m thrilled to be apart of this great company. I’ve got one son, Landyn who keeps me extremely busy with sports year round. I love doing anything that involves being outdoors! Hiking, fishing, adventuring/exploring, gardening, and kayaking are just a few of my favorite things to do.
Gracie Holmes
Quality Control Executive

Hi, I’m Gracie! I just joined the Holmes family in June of 2023 and boy have they spoiled me. I spend lots of my day sleeping but I love greeting any guest when they walk through the door. Afternoon rolls around and it’s time to start causing some havoc around the office, I steal paper, shoes or whatever else I can get my teeth on. Come on by so I can meet you sometime.

Hey, my name's Matt. I’ve been controlling pests for Environmental Pest Control since April 2013. This job gives me great satisfaction when I can help people through their pest problems. I am married with three children and a dog. I am a Seahawks fanatic, an avid fisherman and I enjoy hiking, hunting and camping.
