Environmental Pest Control Inc Logo | Bellingham, WA | Environmental Pest Control

According to the World Health Organization, the quality of life we enjoy today is credited to three things which are better healthcare, better medicine and better pest control. Environmental Pest Control prides itself in keeping our customers safe from pests and the diseases they are known to spread.

The following steps are how we are operating during this time of COVID19. These practices are subject to change as this situation evolves.

1. Service technicians will not be reporting to the office before shift, they will go directly to work in the field. This will reduce the interactions within our staff and office as we practice social distancing.

2. Frequently washing hands with soap and hot water for 20 seconds.

3. Using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

4. Sanitizing surfaces in our office daily.

5. Not shaking hands.

6. Not allowing customers to sign service reports on our tablets.

7. Wearing proper PPE when in customer’s homes and offices while performing work.

8. Trying to have as little direct or physical contact with others as possible.

During this time we are going to keep our public traffic in our office to a minimum, if we can help via phone or e-mail please call 360-676-5120 or e-mail us at contact@epestcontrol.net.

We are going to be primarily working outside as much as possible. We will only go inside based on a customer request and our technicians will be protected by gloves, safety glasses and a respirator. We are taking this extra step of protection as we have many customers who range in age and health circumstances and we want to keep everyone as safe as we possibly can. If a customer has interior equipment that needs to be checked that equipment may be placed outside for us to service then placed back inside after the service is complete.

We are also aware that many of our customers are going to be impacted by this as more shut downs happen and people’s incomes are in jeopardy. We ask that our customers that have jobs that are being impacted to call us and we will work with them to keep service and make payment arrangements. While making payments if we can avoid cash or even check transactions we feel like this could help as well by calling our office or using our online customer portal to pay with a debit or credit card. If you need assistance setting up your online account please give us a call.

We know that this is a time of uncertainty and feel if we all do our part we will get through this difficult time stronger than before. We want to provide services to our customers in the safest and most effective way possible by keeping our team healthy as well. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.

Thank you from the Environmental Pest Control family

We have all rodent accounts routed to routes, and routes are scheduled out one month in advance. These routes are date specific, not day specific. (Which means we try to run routes on the same date every month, give or take a day because of a holiday.) Benefits of routing routes: 1. Same technician servicing account 2. Technicians are more efficient. 3. Service time is going to be pretty close to the same for every service. Automated service call notifications (phone call, text & email) This was a hard decision for us because we wanted to keep the local family feel to our business. At the end of the day, switching over to automated saves Alyson three to four hours per day to do other office tasks during peak season. Going paperless is the newest thing we are tackling. This is going to cut costs on postage, paper, labor and help our environment. If you do not use your customer portal, please look at it. You can pay for your service here and look at your service reports. Efficiency means money saved, which means we do not need to pass big price increases on to our customers.

Rodents gain access to your home through structural deficiencies. Rodents rely on their senses of touch and smell. Rodents will recognize pheromone trails from other rodents. They will also feel warm air coming from structural deficiencies in your home. Rodent exclusion is a process to eliminate structural deficiencies where rodents may gain access to your home. Areas that could be possible entry points are anything bigger than a dime size. Gaps around pipes, cracks and gaps in foundation, vents, and crawlspace entries (Galvanized crawlspace entry wells do not keep out rodents) Exclusion work should be completed by a licensed contractor like Environmental Pest Control. Exclusion is one of the best ways to provide complete rodent control. (All structures may not be able to be excluded because of construction type.) Bait stations and traps are crucial for monitoring and controlling rodent populations. Rodent control around your home will protect your home from damage and family from potential sickness.
